After nearly a year of procrastination about the design and about 3 months of the odd Fridays’s in the workshop mixed in with grabbing some time at weekends, I have FINALLY finished my son’s bed frame! 🛏️

Made from solid Ash 🪵 and using a plethora of different jointing techniques 🪚 , it is finished with Danish 🇩🇰 Oil. I have also installed Alexa controlled lighting 💡

I am delighted with the finished result. I have learnt loads, made countless mistakes but still managed to move forward. I do still need to make a headboard with integrated reading light; but that can wait for the time being! I need a rest!

3D printed template, pattern router bit followed by router table flush trim bit. = PERFECT finish!

Using a 27mm spanner 🔧 on these clamps to close up the gap on the domino joints. Satisfying glue squeeze out.

3D printed leg template made it so much easier to accurately replicate the parts. Cut them out on the bandsaw then flush...
