Wishful Thinking...💭

It's almost 3 years since an Emergency Call on a sweltering Sunday had me build my very first Ottoman bed! 🥵

Since then I've lost count of the visits to "SW" and her two polite, charming daughters. Most humbled, thank you 🙏🏼.

The younger turned 9 the other day, hence this basketball/netball hoop ⛹🏼‍♀️ from Yaheetech.

Like most kids, she's probably ALSO wishing she was a little bit taller, so it's on its lowest setting for now and will grow alongside her and her shooting abilities. 👌🏼

The net itself was "fun"; I'm a Black Belt at Flat Pack but Macrame? 🤯

And the base simply fills with water to keep the whole thing stable. 👍🏼

Every other Monday The Amazing Mrs Rescue (TM) shops for and eats with her Mum. 😎

And since she's Vegan it's usually MEAT NIGHT! 🍖🍗🥓🥩

But after a hot day, leftover home-made pizza, some Aldi Seasoned Fries, an air fryer,a cold Cobra and ARG v AUT? 🤔

Confession time (just IN CASE you hadn't twigged...) but I'm on the Autistic Spectrum. 😉

No sympathy required, in fact I consider it my SuperPower. 🦸🏼‍♂️

Which means that when I hang mirrors, artwork, TVs etc it's level and down to the millimetre!* 👌🏼

There are MANY Chinese furniture brands out there, many of them worse than shonky, but one that stands out is OutSunny 👌🏼(Amazon, Robert Dyas and other online sources).

I've built tons of their kit, it's consistently good quality and excellent value for the price.👍🏼

This swinging garden bench is a case in point however...🤔 (Link below first photo.)

Assembly requires TWO ratchet socket sets, a 5mm hex bit for a DECENT cordless driver, Factor 50 and a hat!

The "Chef's Twelve" sashimi plate was twice the size I expected for the price.

Granted raw fish isn't everyone's "sakazuki" of warm Sake but if it's yours you definitely won't feel short changed.

Back in Felpham today with "CD", her charming spouse and Merlot the "Dirty Stop Out" Tuxedo Cat. 😂

Honestly, he vanishes at night, it rains but he comes home bone dry. 🤔

We all rather suspect "sleepovers" with a neighbourhood friend. 💜

A tired glass conservatory has been transformed into a STUNNING garden room, cool, insulated and with a stylish herringbone floor.

This run of IKEA "Havsta" units will house crafting materials, office supplies and essentials for entertaining. 👌🏼

AND brought home for OVER £100 LESS than assembly booked at IKEA. ✅

There are LOTS of reasons to be on your knees at weekends...😉

Furniture assembly ISN'T one of them.
