Flannery Plant Hire is the UK's biggest plant hire company, operating for over fifty years from a network of ten depots in Aberdeen, Northumberland, Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, Bicester, Newport, Leighton Buzzard, Great Yarmouth and, of course, our purpose-built Head Office depot next to Wembley Stadium. Our fleet of over 5000 machines includes the UK's largest offering of hybrid and electric

plant. We're able to provide excavators, articulate dump trucks (ADTs), telehandlers, tractors, bowsers, rollers, motor graders, loaders and more. We also are proud to have over 2500 trained operators available to provide to sites across the country. However, what we’re most proud of is that we’re still, at our core, a family business with strong values at its heart. Social Media Rules of Engagement

One week on, and we’ve just about recovered from the Balfour Beatty's Touch Rugby Challenge!

A brilliant day supporting a great cause and making the most of the weather.

Huge thanks to Balfour Beatty plc for hosting another fantastic day, and to Greenshields JCB Limited for their generous sponsorship. Delighted to also support LTC Balfour Beatty!

Recently Flannery had the pleasure of hosting the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and Suffolk Economy for the latest Suffolk Business Ambassador event held at our Depot in Needham Market.

At Flannery, we go beyond simply operating in communities, we become part of them. That’s why welcoming the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce to our depot was such a valuable opportunity, bringing businesses together from across the region to connect, exchange ideas and showcase how plant operations support skills, careers and regional growth.

Proud to play our part in supporting Suffolk’s future.

Celebrating 5 Years of the Operator Skills Hub

But this is more than a milestone, it’s a movement.

• Thousands of lives transformed through upskilling and access to sustainable careers
• Communities strengthened with a skilled, future-ready workforce
• Closing the skills gap by turning it into a skills opportunity

And it hasn’t stopped at one location. We’ve successfully replicated this life-changing model across the UK, in Birmingham, Iver, Kirklees, and Suffolk, bringing opportunity directly into the communities that need it most.

From the ground up, we’re not just raising awareness of plant operator roles, we’re creating real measurable outcomes.

This is what impact looks like. This is just the beginning.

Innovation. Everywhere.

Flannery were delighted to continue our sponsorship of The Pace centre, for children with motor disorders Big Walk for another year, supporting an incredible cause that makes a real difference to children with neurodisabilities and their families.

This weekend, members of the Flannery Plant Hire team took on the challenge, completing 6, 12, and 18-mile walks.

The Pace Centre’s Big Walk aligns perfectly with Mental Health Awareness Week, and we’re proud to celebrate our fantastic team who took part. Spending time outdoors, staying active, and connecting with colleagues are all powerful ways to support mental wellbeing, something this event captured brilliantly.

Along the way, our walkers enjoyed fresh air, countryside views, and even spotted a familiar sight at the 14-mile mark, Flannery equipment hard at work!

Well done to everyone who took part, supported one another, and helped raise funds for such an important charity. We’re proud to stand behind both our people and the communities we serve!👏

As we enter into this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, Flannery is proud to share the powerful story of one of our own, Connor.

In the spirit of this year’s theme of action, Connor showed incredible strength in reaching out for support. By opening up, he didn’t just help himself, he helped create space for others to do the same, reminding us all that no one has to face things alone.

At Flannery, we believe in showing up for one another, creating opportunities, offering support, and building a community where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Thank you, Connor, for your courage, for speaking out when it mattered most, and for showing us that together, we are always stronger than alone.

If you ever need help, please don’t hesitate to reach out for support.
