✨ Ancient Stone & Sea Magic ✨

Along the shores of Cornwall, the rocks carry the marks of deep time. Formed over 350 million years ago, mineral rich waters once travelled through cracks in the stone, leaving behind pale veins of quartz.

In folklore, these quartz lines were sometimes called the “veins of the earth” natural pathways where the energy of the land flows quietly beneath our feet.

Standing here, it almost feels as though the land itself once moved like the sea… frozen in motion beneath the tide.

Have you ever come across natural quartz in the wild?
How did it make you feel?

One of my favourite things to do when I’m walking on the beach is search for wishing stones. These are stones with natural unbroken bands or lines running through them. It’s said that if you find one and hold it while making a wish, the stone carries that intention with it. I like the trace the line with my finger as I make the wish.

Some people keep them and place them on Their alter space until the wish is granted, while others return them to the sea letting the tide carry the wish out into the world.

✨ Today I visited the Merry Maidens stone circle in Cornwall ✨

Nineteen ancient stones standing quietly in a circle, watching the land as they have for over 4,000 years.

Cornish folklore tells a haunting tale of their origin. It’s said the stones were once nineteen maidens dancing together in the moonlight while two pipers played nearby. Because dancing on the Sabbath was forbidden, they were turned to stone, the circle becoming the Maidens, and the nearby standing stones forever known as The Pipers.

Standing within the circle today, the wind moves through the stones and the place feels full of old stories. It’s easy to imagine the music, the laughter, and the ancient magic that once filled this space.

Some places hold more than history… they hold memory 🧙🏻‍♀️✨

On 3rd March, the Blood Moon rises in Virgo. This is
a powerful moment of release, clarity, and energetic cleansing.

This is Dark Feminine energy with precision.
Illusions dissolve.
Old patterns surface.
What is no longer aligned asks to be let go.

Virgo reminds us that healing isn’t always soft.
sometimes it’s honest, direct, and necessary.

You are not meant to carry what you’ve outgrown.

✨ Imbolc Ritual ✨

Today I cleansed my altar and crafted a Brigid doll to honour the turning of the wheel.

Imbolc marks the first whisper of spring, when the light begins returning and the earth quietly stirs beneath the frost. 🌿

Brigid is goddess of the hearth, healing, poetry and sacred fire. Creating her doll (Brídeóg) is a way of inviting her protection, inspiration and blessings into the home for the year ahead.

This is the season of gentle renewal. Of tending your inner flame. Of trusting that what feels dormant is still growing.

May your light rise softly.

✨ Imbolc Eve ✨

Tonight I’ve placed my altar cloth outside in honour of Imbolc, the sacred turning point between winter and spring.

Traditionally, this cloth is left out to receive the blessing of Brigid as she walks the land. It’s brought back in at dawn to carry protection, healing and renewal into the home for the year ahead.

The light is returning.

✨ Imbolc ✨

Tomorrow marks Imbolc (Feb 1st–2nd) the halfway point between winter and spring when the light begins returning and life quietly stirs beneath the frost.

It is the sabbat of the first spark, the moment you decide what you are ready to grow 🌱

It’s a time for:
🔥 Intentional renewal
🌿 Fertility
🕯 Purification of what no longer serves
✨ Hope rooted in action

Imbolc is sacred to St Brigid the Celtic goddess of healing, poetry, sacred fire and the hearth

Traditionally, St Brigid’s dolls and crosses were crafted from straw and placed in the home to invite her blessings. They are symbols of protection, prosperity and the nurturing of new beginnings.

This is the season to ask yourself:
What am I ready to tend?
What seed am I ready to grow?

🌙 Mystic Lunar Imbolc Intention Jar:
Add bay leaves (wishes), rosemary (clarity & protection), chamomile (gentle beginnings), cinnamon (momentum) and clear quartz (amplification).
Write your intention clearly on a piece of paper, not a wish, but a decision.
Seal with white or yellow candle wax and speak it into being. Keep burning your candles on the jar until you feel your intentions have manifested ✨
