I am a well established refurbishment builder in the Twickenham and surrounding areas. I undertake all manner of works, and I specialise in taking out and re-fitting kitchens and bathrooms have access to a plumber and electrician, and finishing off and making good. I also do floor and wall tiling, and any discounts I get from my suppliers, I pass on to you. I plaster, lay wooden and laminate floor

ing, wall paper, decorate, and paint inside and out. I also make bespoke cabinets, book shelves, wardrobes, tables or anything you can think of really using new or reclaimed wood for a rustic look. These are either prime and top coated to a high finish or they are oiled or varnished for a traditional look. . A lot of the time these are tailor made to fit into small unused spaces or to create more storage whilst looking decorative. I also undertake decking, patios, fencing, shed building, rendering and other external works. My door is always open so please do not hesitate to contact me and we can arrange a mutually agreed appointment. All quotes are free and are under no obligation.

A great makeover in the back garden for the owners and my specialty was to lay the tiles. These were whopers and heavy, but with great help from Tony the owner, we certainly made short work of this fabulous project. Just in time seeing as the sun is shining today and its going to be a stonking weekend.

So lockdown continues and I'm keeping busy with making things from old discarded pallets. This bespoke made set of shelves for my wife now holds all of her crafting goodies. Old pallet wood has been screwed together to make 3 cupboards and then all put together with shelves, edging and a plinth on the top.

Really over the moon with how this came out and as so many different bits of wood have been used, it bloomed in different ways once we added wax and protector sealant. What do you think?

Bespoke commissions made to any size, so feel free to get in contact.

A client of mine had a slightly larger than usual double radiator in her hallway, it was also mounted a lot higher than the norm. She found a couple of off the shelf radiator covers but just didn't like any of the designs.

Enter little ol' me and a bespoke cover was made.

She said what she wanted and I put together a drawing for her, then within the day it was made and by the next day it was primed, rubbed down, finished and in situ taking pride of place in the hallway.

I've made all the radiator covers for my home as I too wasn't a fan of the shop designs either. This was the first client ever requesting one from me and as I make a lot of bespoke alcove cupboards, shelves and fitted wardrobes this was a very easy project for me to do.

With the eggshell finish and beautiful fretwork, it really makes a statement as you enter the front door.

Nice job, even if I say so myself.

Busy week coming up, lots of new clients to meet and really looking forward to forging some new working relationships.

I will be posting about my latest job when I'm finished, which is refurbishing 4 sash box windows - looking good at the moment.

This was a change of an small old fashioned and outdated kitchen. The whole of the old kitchen was taken out with the plumbing left in situ. A new ceramic floor was tiled in first, then the new kitchen carcasses were put in around the cooker area. It was a new design kitchen going in and only a few areas were similar to the old kitchen. After fitting and adjusting the kitchen, putting in the sink unit and connecting up, I fitted a marble effect laminate worktop. The kitchen started to look really great.

Next came the splash back wall tiles, which were based all around the kitchen where the worktop joins the wall units and other surrounding areas. To finish off the job, I painted the walls and ceiling to the clients choice of colour and made a few touch ups to complete the project.

I like how the new choice of kitchen, tiles and worktop complement the cooker (which was the original and not a new one). This was an off the shelf, inexpensive kitchen from one of the large DIY stores which the client chose, but it just goes to show that how you fit and finish a job makes all the difference.

One very happy client.

This was a like for like replacement fencing job.. It was the full length of the garden, which totalled five 6x5 panels and additional top trellis. The existing fencing had rotted and was in a poor state (wish I had taken a photo of it now, as this was a major transformation).

I had a major issue to get over which was a rather large tree branch had grown over the top of the fencing which meant I couldn't slide the panels in, and my client didn't want the tree branch cut....Hmmmm. I also had to modify all of the trellis tops to the clients specifications.

I got around the branch incident, by actually taking the fence panel apart then re-building it in situ within the concrete based posts (which weren't able to be moved). I am so pleased how this turned out as it was looking to be a real nightmare of a job.

My client asked how on earth I managed it as it looked amazing and I hadn't touched the tree branch - to which I replied "it's magic"!

Another successful project.

This was a great project. With a lot of my work, (and hopefully other builders and decorators too) a fair bit of time and money goes into the foundations and never to be seen again areas, with this project it's easy to understate it and say I just painted it. Just like my wife putting on her make up, she wants the end result to look flawless, as do my clients wishes for their finished result, and I do everything I can to achieve this.

However on closer inspection, I had to fill and rub down all the cracks in the walls and ceiling, they then had to be painted with 2 or 3 coats of paint depending on the coverage. I then prepped the woodwork. This again had to be rubbed down to give it a key for the subsequent paint to adhere to. It was primed, undercoated then top coated to a smooth finish using an eggshell paint.

At the request of my client, I also changed all the cabinet handles, which gave the kitchen a really new look and didn't cost the client a fortune as she was on a budget.

So everyone's happy.

This was a first project that I did for a new client.

The old tiled floor had to be taken up, but as it had underfloor heating, I had to be very careful as the my client wanted to keep this and re-tile over the top (saving her valuable pennies). This was accomplished quite well and there were no problems with the floor heating, the porcelain floor tiles really looked great when laid.

I took off all the tiles around the bath and walls, making good all damaged plaster works. Re-tiled the floor and walls and also put in a new stunning marble top and two ceramic wash hand basins. I also tiled the little shelf above the bath as it makes a great holding station for all those toiletries and bits and pieces.

I finished off the bathroom by painting the walls and ceiling with the clients choice of colours and treated, primed and top coated all of the woodwork.

My client was really pleased with everything, and I am very happy that she's happy, and the bathroom really came out a treat.

As a first time customer it always takes time to get to know each others ways and interpretations of what they want, however with this client, we were on the same wave length from the start and she has booked me to come back to do some other works .

Really proud of these bespoke floor to ceiling cupboards and bookshelves. My client (as you can see) has a multitude of books and they were all in piles scattered around the house, she sought my advice for storage as well as display and this is the design I came up with.

It was a tricky job, as pretty much all of the alcove walls weren't straight or square, but they've come out really well and my client is very satisfied. So much so I have done various other works for her, and it's always great to work with such a lovely client. 📚

Another unused space outside of a back door. My client wanted a large decking area with seats, and what she got was perfect. Integral seats with lift up bases to incorporate masses of storage space. Been asked to go back for more works so my client was very happy.
