A little set of nested tables that your young grandson inherited from his grandparents but didn’t want them in their original state of brown wood with leather inserts but at the same time didn’t want to part with them because of their sentimental value. So I gave them a little update in striped design and and now they slot right in with his neutral decor x

A returning customer has asked me to take 3 very old trunks and give them a totally new modern look. Lots of repairs were done on this particular chest. New leather handles were cut and glued for the sides. All the damaged bits were cleaned, repaired and painted in Chocolate. The wood was sanded right back and varnished. My customer sent me a few metres of her chosen leatherette to cut and apply to the chest. BEFORE photo included which shows what a bad state it was in. 2 more trunks to go!

This is the longest table I’ve worked on. After sanding it back to raw wood and getting rid of all the ring marks and damage. I did a test and soon realised that there was a lot a red still@coming through from the wood. My customer wanted a really pale taupe finish. So I initially did a paint wash with Eucalyptus and Tapestry from . Once that had thoroughly dried using Taupe Stain and Finishing oil from Fusion. Applying a couple of coats and then wiping it back. This was done to the whole table and the legs and wow what a transformation. It looks absolutely stunning. So a really old extremely well built table has been completely transformed from a dull brown to look virtually brand new, modern and very classic. First think before throwing your old brown / orange table out.

This is a commission for a ladies 40th birthday gift from her mother. It has taken me 3 months to do, painstakingly glueing one gemstone at a time. It’s been hard work but I have loved every second. The mannequin was originally grey and white fabric. It’s been painted in COAL BLACK and then a satin varnish was added by . Then the task of sticking all the gems started with tweezers and special adhesive glue. It’s now ready to be boxed and wrapped with a big bow to be delivered on her birthday 🎁 BEFORE PHOTO INCLUDED.
