I’ve not felt too crafty this past year, who knows why? life runs away with you- time chasing Rudy, waiting for her to sleep! Or just a shift in focus? This year my aim is to make time to make- it helps my head! And make things for those I love ❤️ Here’s a few from 2022 that I managed to rustle up in the hope it inspires me to do more…. youknowimakehats?

First repair job of the year! My cosy sheepskin slippers have had a revamp with extra Pom Poms 💜After taking a battering over the last year on maternity leave and pretty much falling apart I hated the thought of throwing them so fixed them up - new slippers! (Swipe to see the state of them before!)

I don’t normally go in for New Years resolutions, I find the notion of restriction… well, kinda restricting! Banning something will only make me want it more!!

This year I actually want to build on something I’ve been doing for years already and be more mindful about it.

My new mantra is to Consume Less. So I’m starting with buying no new clothes in 2022.

I’m planning to reinvent old items and use my fabric stash to make my own like this fabulous dress I made in the first lockdown! I’m excited to see what happens!

Lying in bed this morning and thinking how this diy paper light shade is still going strong after 2 house moves! I love how it glows like the moon 🌝 - it’s perfect for a bedroom. Super simple to make - a paper lantern shade and A4 white printer paper folded into paper fortunes stuck on with a glue gun!
