Our Co-Founders had the privilege of attending the Scope awards last week, and presenting the award for colleague network. Following our win last year, we know what a tremendous impact these awards can have on the nominees and winners.

Well done to everyone who was nominated, we couldn’t be prouder!

VD: Cameron and Imali, in a hotel room before changing into their Scope award outfits. Cameron is a white male with brown hair, wearing a floral shirt. Imali is a white woman with brown wavy hair, wearing a polka dot dress. In time with the audio, Cameron swipes his hand across the screen, revealing their awards ceremony outfits. Cameron is wearing a black suit with a purple bow tie. Imali is wearing a purple to orange ombré dress. They dance with the music.

We’re really proud to have been nominated for a National Diversity Award - and now we need your help.

If you’ve worked with Inkfire, met us at an event, or crossed paths with us, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to submit a nomination. Your support genuinely means a lot.

We recently had the privilege of attending the Deaf Business Expo in Birmingham with our in-house BSL interpreter, Andrew.

It was such a lovely space to be part of - full of conversation, ideas, and community. We were able to make some great connections and got to know of more great disabled-led businesses.

Having our own BSL interpreter on the team is something we’ve had in place at Inkfire for a while now, and it’s a really important part of how we work. If BSL is a person's preferred language, Andrew can join onto video calls, take part in audits, and any other conversations, to support you in accessing our services. Simply let us know via emailing [email protected], or pop us a video via Whatsapp on 0333 613 4653, and he'll be in touch.

Inkfire - creating a more inclusive world, one business at a time.

On the right is Cameron, a white man with brown hair wearing an Inkfire t-shirt and a brown shacket. The text reads 'Meet our in-house BSL intepreter, Andrew. We attended the deaf business Expo 2026'.

The lovely Jennie and Georgina from team Sociability stopped by to say 'hello' at our Naidex stand and we couldn't have been more excited! There was lots of content creation going on at the event, so we can't wait to see what they both post soon 👀

It still feels surreal that we get to meet so many people that we recognise at events like these and even more surreal that they know us! Thanks for stopping for a photo team Sociability - it was great to meet you 👋

VD: Four wheelchair users, sat side by side in front of the Inkfire stand and signage. On the left is Imali, a white woman with brown hair and glasses, sitting in a pastel blue coloured wheelchair. Next to her on the right is Jennie, a white woman with long, curled hair and glasses. On her right is Georgina, a white woman, with red curled hair and bangs. To her right is Sakara, a white woman with long hair and green checkered trousers. Everyone is smiling for the photo.

The 'This is me' trend - Naidex day 2 edition! The reality of an event like Naidex is that it takes a huge amount of planning for our team to attend successfully and safely as people with disabilities. We're so proud of everyone's efforts this year 🎉 Let us know in the comments if you got to meet any of the team who came along!

VD: The clip starts with Sakara - a white woman with long brown hair and glasses, wearing an Inkfire t-shirt, sitting in her wheelchair in front of signage fresh to the Naidex event. It then cuts to her at the end of the event, wearing sunglasses, with snacks on her lap, drinking a huge cup of Starbucks coffee. The video then follows the same format for Corban, a tanned young male with dark hair, who starts the day with a huge smile and ends it crouched on the floor - but still smiling! The last clip is of Imali, who is also wearing the Inkfire t-shirt and she is stood next to her wheelchair, with a random hair clip in her hair. She has a huge smile.

Inkfire out in the wild at Naidex.

Spot Imali casually appearing on The LILAC Centre stand 👀

We love working with the LILAC Centre, as they support Disabled, d/Deaf and neurodivergent founders with the tools, community, and confidence to build their businesses. From mentoring to webinars, networking to community support - The Lilac Centre is doing big things!

The LILAC Centre

Did you spot our stand at Naidex? Here’s a little introduction to some of the wonderful businesses who shared the space:

Inkfire.co.uk - Marketing and business support services provided by a disabled-led team.
Signly.co - Adding sign language interpretation to websites globally.
Thedisabilityforce.com - Helping organisations build inclusive workplaces through disability-led coaching and training.
Patchworkhub.org - Connecting disabled talent with inclusive employers.

What a fantastic feeling it is to share the room with so many incredible disabled-led businesses and individuals. We truly were honoured to be in their company.

The Inkfire team is having a little break!

From 19th December to 5th January, we’ll be stepping away for a well-earned break over the holiday period. We’re away from our desks, but our commitment to accessibility is very much still online. Our bodies, however, are not!

If something urgent pops up during this break, drop us a line at [email protected] - we’ll do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

Got any last-minute tasks before the New Year? Now’s the perfect time to send them our way!

For accessibility and peace of mind:

• Our support inbox will still be checked for critical issues.
• Replies might take a little longer than usual - thanks for your patience!
• Non-urgent requests will be picked up when we’re back on 5th January.

Wishing you all a calm, joyful holiday season. See you in 2026! 🎉
