𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀: 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗙𝗖

Our Head of Technical Compliance & Quality for the Outdoor category, Deborah Hamblett, recently visited one of our factories to oversee production and ensure our high standards are consistently met. Here’s a glimpse into her day:

🔍 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀: Deborah worked with the QC team to address some production issues, including reviewing a broken chair's joints during testing to ensure consistent quality in future production.

📄 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: She verified production slips against technical documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with specifications.

🔥 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: While we conduct FR (Fire Resistance) testing at third-party labs, we also perform in-house indicative FR tests to maintain rigorous quality control.

🪵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: Deborah reviewed how factory staff are trained on acceptable standards, such as identifying defects using a timber and knot defect board.

🚫 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀: Rejects that might otherwise be concealed in joints were flagged during QC inspections, emphasizing the importance of training workers to spot these issues early.

This hands-on approach reflects MFC’s commitment to delivering exceptional products. From concept to completion, every detail is carefully monitored to meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
