Quite fond of this one.

A solid sapele shelving unit made for a music room, with mid-century styling and adjustable shelves for books, records and all the bits that inevitably gather around a well-used space.

The rounded uprights soften what is otherwise quite a weighty piece and stop the whole thing feeling too formal. Sapele can go very dark and serious if you let it, so keeping the detailing light was important here.

Made as ever from sustainably sourced hardwood and finished by hand in hardwax oil.

Something very special coming to the Heatons this Sunday. This solid oak entrance way bench/coffee table/end table will be available to purchase from me. It’s approx 110cm x 35cm and at standard bench height (43cm). Some slabs you instantly fall in love with and this won my heart early on!!
