We were honoured and delighted to receive a Chair's Service to the Community Award on behalf of Stepping Out. The citation read:

Stepping Out is recognised for its outstanding service to the parish through its support for young people with learning disabilities and its weekly community cafe. Their work brings residents together, builds confidence in the young people it supports and strengthens community life. Their commitment, kindness and practical help have made a lasting difference to both the parish and many young people.

Well done to our hard-working, creative and resilient staff team and to the young people themselves, who make us proud every day.

We are pleased to announce a new Bakeability initiative: frozen ready meals.
See leaflet below for details ( paper copies will be available from the cafe on Thursday).
We are starting with a limited range: Lasagne, Fish Pie and Cottage Pie, all available this week. Take the strain out of meal planning and prep and pick up yours while stocks last!
If sales go well we will add further meals to our menu and also include puddings. Watch this space!

Bakeability is going from strength to strength at the moment. We are now supplying cakes to The Purplespoon Cafe at Highbridge, to Quayside Gymnastics and Trampolining Club and to the King William pub in Catcott. Our bakers are honing their skills as a result, not just in baking techniques but in time management, focus and concentration too. And we mustn't forget our delivery crew who deliver cakes to Quayside on Fridays. Thank you to all three businesses for giving us these opportunities.

The other Bakeability award went to H for her efficiency in the kitchen and also following instructions well.
