Due to our growing demand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker & Woodworking Machinist to join our talented team.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced or trainee Cabinet Maker and Woodworking Machinist to assist with the creation of precision-crafted cabinetry, furniture, and woodwork. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of woodworking techniques, experience with various woodworking machinery, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manufacture and assemble high-quality bespoke cabinetry and furniture to precise specifications.
• Operate woodworking machinery including routers, panel saws, edge banders, and other woodworking tools.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to create accurate and functional pieces.
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and finish wood products.
• Ensure all work meets company and client standards for quality and craftsmanship.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to meet project timelines.
• Provide suggestions for improvements in manufacturing processes and techniques.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cabinet Maker and/or Woodworking Machinist/ a trainee that is eager to learn and has attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work with a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plans.
• Good knowledge of wood types, finishes, and material properties.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• A commitment to health and safety in the workshop environment.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to work as part of a team to meet deadlines and to keep a good working environment
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
• Wood working machining experience.
• Formal qualifications in cabinet making or woodworking (e.g., apprenticeship, trade certification).
• Experience with advanced woodworking techniques or finishes.
• A passion for working with wood and a commitment to craftsmanship.
