🍂 Who said garden season ends in September?

Another project complete, and this one arrives at exactly the right time of year.

For this installation in Newcastle, our team fitted a wall mounted pergola with a full glass enclosure, built directly off the rear of the home to create a seamless extension of the living space. Floor to ceiling glass panels on every side keep the garden in full view whilst shutting the wind and rain firmly out, and the adjustable louvred roof overhead means light and ventilation are always exactly where you want them.

The finer details matter too. The slider rail was used to conceal the cable run, keeping every line of the structure clean, considered, and clutter free. And with the integrated RGB LED lighting, the space shifts effortlessly from bright and airy by day to warm and atmospheric by night.

And here is the thing. Autumn is when a pergola truly earns its keep. Anyone can enjoy a garden in July. But crisp mornings with a coffee behind the glass, sheltered evenings while the rain patters on the louvres above, golden afternoons stretched a little longer under the LEDs. This is the season where a well built outdoor room proves its worth. The garden does not close in September. Not with the right structure in it.

Another project completed, and this one is ready for every month of the year.

An aluminium pergola in anthracite grey, fitted with toughened glass sliding doors and finished with LED lighting under the louvred roof. The glass keeps the garden in full view while sheltering the space from wind and rain, and the lighting carries the evening on long after the sky has turned.

You can see from the photos that this was not installed for a heatwave. It was installed for exactly the kind of day in the background: grey, changeable and still worth being outside for. That is the point of a pergola built this way. Summer is where it starts, not where it stops.

Another project completed, this one finished with glass sliding doors.

The doors went on the side that needed them most: the one that catches the wind and the low evening sun. Closed, they form a bright glazed wall that shelters the space while keeping the garden in full view. On a still day, the panels glide back along their dual track and around half the side opens up again.

The dark grey frames match the pergola, the glass is toughened safety glass, and the system can be retrofitted to a compatible pergola you already own.
