The saddest message I ever get is "it won't fit through the door."

Everyone measures the living room. Almost nobody measures the doorway, the hallway turn, or the stairs. That's the bit that catches people out — a perfect corner sofa sat on the drive because a door frame is 5cm too tight.

So before you fall in love with anything: tape measure out. Width of the frame, and the tightest turn between the front door and where it's going.
