I am unable to offer a furniture sourcing service (though this could be a full-time job!), but I do have a stock of items in the workshop ready for transformation, including a wide selection of chairs and armchairs, bedside tables, drinks cabinets, sideboards and more.

If you are searching for a specific piece of furniture, please get in touch and I’ll check my stock. The perfect thing could be here waiting for you. You never know until you ask!

This is your bank holiday reminder to stop before you chuck out any furniture!

Your forgotten furniture could become a beautiful upcycled drinks cabinet just like this one.

> Water damage and broken legs can be fixed.
> New beading can be hand-carved to replace missing sections.
> Shelves can be relocated to accommodate tall bottles.
> Wallpaper, gilding, and the right paint choices transform and modernise.
> Racks added to display your most precious glassware.
> LED lighting with touch sensitive and motion activated switches brighten the interior.

With the right design choices, you can create your own unique showstopper.

My client loves it so much, she's now looking for more pieces for me to work on! What unloved gems do you have to send my way?

The paints used are Algonquin on the exterior and Farrow & Ball Crimson Red for the interior.

Of course! This is my favourite kind of furniture design or upcycling project.

I am happy to share ideas on design, colour, style and finish. I can bring paint charts, fabric samples and pictures of previous projects to help you find a design that's right for you and your home.

Let’s begin with a chat and take it from there.

Transformed from worn out brown leather to purple herringbone tweed.

These beautiful oak dining chairs were in great condition apart from their seat pads. After going through the sample books with my lovely client, they settled on this hard-wearing, textured fabric that's perfect for everyday use. Plus, the colour ties in very nicely with their kitchen decor.

It was a great fabric to work with and a quick turnaround. The foam padding was in good shape. I added a little extra dacron for comfort and replaced the dipryl on the bases. All in a day's work!

What’s in the workshop this week? Three projects: two commissions and one new shop piece almost ready to share. Which one do you think will be for sale?

So many people would have taken one look at this and sent it to the tip. I'm really glad this one was saved.

Yes, there was a lot of water damage, legs falling off, broken handles, peeling veneer, and brackets rusted shut. But with some Odd Thing love and attention, it is living its best life once again!

Our initial plan was to keep the wood finish, but when I started work, I realised the sheer amount of damaged veneer would not sustain a natural finish.

After a chat with my client, we agreed on a Midnight Blue Fusion Mineral Paint UK exterior and Little Lamb inside. I removed and restored the natural wood on the cubby holes creating a nice contrast with the light grey.

I rebuilt the drawers and refitted them to the runners, which had swelled due to water damage. I also sourced new handles to replace those that were broken. The leatherette writing pad came up gleaming after a good clean!

My client loves the painted finish and can't wait to start using it in her home.
