Today is another first, as I have never upholstered a sun visor.

As you can see from the photos, this was grubby and in desperate need of a new lease of life...

Wicked Stitch to the rescue!!

Lessons were learned while re-upholstering this, but I'm sure you will agree it looks much better.

All good practice and a good end result 👌

Update on the old tatty VW Camper seat....

Just needs a new horsehair seat pad for the back, as there is some missing after years of usage.

This was a tricky task and something I wasn't sure I could pull off as there were pieces missing from the original seat covering.

However, I am pretty pleased with the result.... you now wouldn't know how unloved this seat was 😊

Once the new seat pad has been fitted the vinyl will smooth out and pull in at all the right places.

A job well done...😁

Slightly daunting job to start on, but even though this seat is very tatty, it wasn't as bad as I first thought.

This old VW Camper seat was imported from USA and had been stored in a garage, feeling very unloved.

Using the original horsehair padding, I recovered using Special Jaguar Vinyl in Mulberry from Woolies in Peterborough, teamed up with black vinyl piping.

Next task is to repair the horsehair interior of the back of the seat, before recovering in matching vinyl....breathing new life into a classic seat for many years to come.
