On the 17 April a range of stakeholders involving highways maintenance and construction gathered at Wolverhampton Football Ground to discuss emerging scenarios for the Internet of Things (IoT), the workshop was sponsored by the Technology Strategy Board and organised by intouch, Lancaster University and Carillion, as part of a feasibility of how the IoT can be used to transform the way that we maintain the UK's transport infrastructure. Hopefully this gathering and the feedback collected will one day help shape the UK’s future strategy for the Internet of Things.
