⛳ Proud to Support the Friends of Valence Golf Day ⛳

On Wednesday 20th May 2026, Benning Brothers Ltd were proud sponsors of the Friends of Valence Golf Day in support of Valence School.

Valence School provides education, care and specialist support for children and young people aged 4–19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning difficulties, helping students develop confidence, independence and opportunity.

The annual golf day helps raise vital funds for extracurricular activities, specialist equipment, therapy support and sporting opportunities that make a real difference to the lives of the students.

🚧 PROJECT UPDATE – CHELMSFORD, ESSEX 🚧

We are now one week into our subsidence insurance reinstatement project in Chelmsford and progress on site has been excellent despite the recent weather conditions trying to slow us down. 🌧️➡️☀️

The project is now fully established with:

✔️ Site set-up completed
✔️ Secure site boundaries in place
✔️ Solar-powered welfare facilities fully operational
✔️ Demolition works progressing ahead of programme

The existing side extension has now been fully demolished down to ground level, allowing the scaffold to be struck and access handed over to the groundworks team as we prepare for the next phase of the reinstatement works.

This project will ultimately see the construction of a new piled foundation system with a timber-framed extension designed to sympathetically match the original character and appearance of the property.

A huge thank you to the site team and supply chain for maintaining momentum and standards through challenging conditions. 👏

🏗️ Project Update | London📍

Great progress being made on one of our latest London insurance reinstatement projects 👏

Strip out works are now complete ✅ and the team are pushing on at pace with the reinstatement phase 🚧

A major focus of the project is the installation of a new BS 8102:2022 compliant Type C waterproofing system to the basement area following the discovery of a defective existing membrane system 💧

Working alongside a specialist waterproofing contractor, the new system includes:

🔹 CDM 508R high-density cavity drain membrane system
🔹 Perimeter Floordrain drainage channels with swept corners
🔹 Titan Pro sump chamber installation
🔹 Dual NP750eco pump arrangement
🔹 Victron inverter and battery back-up system for continued protection during power interruption ⚡
🔹 Fully maintainable drainage and inspection points designed to achieve a Grade 3 dry environment 🏠

The system has been designed to manage water ingress through controlled drainage rather than simply attempting to resist hydrostatic pressure, providing a far more robust and maintainable long-term solution for the property 💪

Excellent work by the team and supply chain as we continue driving the programme forward 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Another successful fire reinstatement project completed in Epsom Surrey 🏗️✅

Following extensive fire damage, our team carried out a full programme of restoration and refurbishment works, including:

• Removal and rebuild of the gable wall
• Construction of a new Truss roof structure
• Installation of new roof covering and associated works
• New ceilings fitted throughout the first floor
• Decorative coving and full internal redecoration
• Supply and installation of a new bathroom and ensuite including wall and floor finishes

Great to see this property fully restored and brought back to a high standard for our client. A huge thank you to everyone involved in delivering this project safely, efficiently, and with excellent attention to detail. 👷‍♂️🔨

🚧 NEW PROJECT ALERT – CHELMSFORD, ESSEX 🚧

Benning Brothers Ltd are pleased to announce the commencement of a new subsidence insurance reinstatement project in Chelmsford.

The works involve the careful demolition of the existing side extension, followed by the construction of a new extension on piled foundations with timber frame construction, a natural slate roof finish and rendered external façade — all designed to seamlessly match the original character and appearance of the property.

Internally, the new layout will provide a modern and functional:
• Study
• Utility Room
• Cloakroom

A key focus of this project is sustainability and sympathetic reinstatement. Wherever possible, care will be taken when salvaging, repairing and reusing original materials and features from the existing property, prioritising restoration and upgrade works over unnecessary disposal and replacement.

At BBL, we understand that insurance reinstatement projects require not only technical expertise, but also a sensitive approach to maintaining the original look, feel and integrity of a home.

🔧 Beam Restoration Complete

We’re pleased to share the completion of beam restoration works at our Chiddingstone project following an escape of water.

While the original structural beam remained unaffected, it required careful cleaning and attention to remove surface contamination and restore its appearance. Our team took a considered approach to ensure the beam was treated safely and respectfully, preserving the integrity of the original structure 🏡

It’s been great to see this feature brought back to its best, maintaining the charm and character that make this home so special ✨

✨ Project Update! ✨

We’re excited to share that floor finishes are now complete at our Chiddingstone reinstatement project 🙌

Following extensive prep work, including subfloor repairs and careful levelling, the new flooring has been successfully installed throughout. Our client chose an engineered oak floor, a smart choice thanks to it's multi layered construction, which offers enhanced stability, reduced movement, and excellent resistance to moisture compared to solid timber.

Not only is it incredibly durable and long lasting, but it also beautifully complements the character of the property 🏡

This marks a key milestone in the reinstatement journey, giving us a strong, reliable base as we continue internal work and bring this home back to life.

🔥 Project Update

We’re making great progress on one of our latest projects in Epsom, where this home sadly suffered significant damage following a fire.

Our team has now successfully completed the strip-out and enabling works, and we’re well underway with the reconstruction of the property’s roof. This marks a major milestone in bringing the home back to life.

With the tin hat scaffolding now fully installed, the site is secure, safe, and completely watertight. This crucial step allows us to move forward with the next phase, internal works, without disruption from the elements.

It’s always rewarding to see a project move from recovery into rebuilding, and we’re proud to be restoring this home for our client.

🚧 New Project Alert!

We’re pleased to announce that works have officially begun on a new project in Whitstable.

This project involves the demolition and full rebuild of a residential extension following a subsidence claim.

Scope of works includes:

• Demolition of the existing single-storey extension
• Removal of the existing ground-bearing slab and foundations
• Installation of piled foundations in accordance with the structural engineer’s design
• Complete reconstruction of the single-storey extension, including new foundations, slab, and superstructure

These works will address the structural movement caused by subsidence and reinstate the extension in line with current building standards and engineering recommendations.

Our team has already begun initial works on site, and we’re looking forward to progressing the project and rebuilding so our clients can return safely.
