At S.W. James, we believe in good old fashioned customer service and looking after people matters just as much as making beautiful furniture. Seeing that care reflected in our customers’ reviews means an awful lot.

We’d like to introduce Burlington, our brand-new leather range.

Jill’s new Huxleys have settled in rather nicely—and judging by these photos, they’re already making themselves very much at home!

Shown here in our hand-finished Antique Red, with beautiful stud detailing and hand-turned beehive feet, they’re certainly not shy about showing off their best features.

We recently received this lovely photograph from our customer, Deborah—and frankly, Huxley appears to have made himself very much at home.

Here you can see a rather handsome pair of Huxleys (a Standard Huxley and a "mini" Huxley) in Vintage Honey leather, finished with full stud detailing and castor feet. Beautiful sofas in a beautiful room - We couldn’t have chosen a better home for them ourselves.

He hasn’t landed on the website just yet, but with his classic British lines, beautiful leather and impeccable craftsmanship, there was only one name for him.

We know, we know… it’s September. Far too early to mention the C-word. 🎄🎄

It’s been a cold and snowy start to the year.

And with the chilly weather looking set to stick around for a little while yet, these photos felt just right to share. They landed in our inbox recently from one of our lovely customers, and there’s something genuinely special about seeing a sofa properly lived in — relaxed, welcoming, and doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

If the cold and the snowy weather does stick around, our advice is simple: make the most of it. Get the fire on, put the kettle on (or pour a glass of red), pull a blanket close and settle in. Let the weather do what it likes outside while you stay warm, cosy, and comfortable indoors.

Chilly days are best enjoyed from the warm side of the window — especially when you’re curled up on a S.W. James.
