Been away from the lathe for a few months due to illness, so I thought why not come back big and max the lathe out. This piece of Walnut is 20” diameter and around 3” thick.

When I do a resin pour any leftovers are put in a separate pot. And every now and again I get to make something like this lidded pot.

Please help if you can. Since being diagnosed with Bowel cancer in May this year, I have been upping my exercise in preparation for a major operation, in doing so I am planning on walking 160 miles in November to help raise funds for a local charity that does so much to help people in our situation.

10” mirror frame and key tray, made from the same hybrid blank.

Loving these little vases, made out of Poplar and using spirit stains. Finished with automotive gloss lacquer. Each has a small plastic insert so they can hold water.

I have been absent for ages now. Need to get back to enjoying turning again. I have been struggling with the creative side it. Although I don’t enjoy hollowing a pushed myself with the resin piece.

Not been on here for ages, as work seems to have taken over. But this is the third desk I have made now. Made from Cherry supplied by with a resin infill to a bit of a void. Just the legs to be fitted and delivered to the new owner.
