The Grenfell fire took place almost 7 years ago now, yet we're still hearing that Councils and Development owners are still not replacing the offending claddings. GRP/Fibreglass is a not only a practical solution to this being lightweight & Structural, but it can also obtain a fire rating to BS476 part 7:1987 to comply with fire regulations. Top this off with the ability to create complex shapes & various finishes you can create a Cladding/Panel that is practical whilst also improving the aesthetic appearance of the building. With the imminent arrival of spring (I know it doesn't feel like it), it's time to start thinking about adding some colour to you businesses (or homes), Planters are the perfect opportunity to do this. With more & more buildings going up & with reduced greenspaces it's a great way to bring nature into your businesses. Being Bespoke we don't want to offer the 'off the shelf' planter, obviously we could if that's what you want, but we'd rather tailor it's size & design to your own personal requirements. Do you have a leaky flat roof? Well we have the solution. Here at Harviglass one of our biggest projects to date was to design & install a roofing system for the National Grid UK electrical sub stations. Originally built with flat roofs from timber & concrete with a felt covering, they just pooled water & inadvertently leaked. To counter this we designed a modular pitched system which could easily be fitted over the existing structures. Complete with facias & drainage they not only improved the look of the buildings giving them a new lease of life but most importantly kept the buildings watertight! Happy Halloween from us all at Harviglass-Fibre. This year we where lucky to be part of a project with a spooky twist. Working with Visual Architects they tasked the team with manufacturing an 8ft Skull. It needed to be lightweight & strong, which is why they chose GRP. In this instance they supplied the design & the tool, although that is something we can offer. We then had just 1 week to create a GRP Skull ready for them to paint for their event. Check out the pictures to see our process & the finished product which looks great!
