KEYNSHAM — before and after.

The ground floor was a series of separate rooms. Good bones, but disconnected.

Working with the architects on the space plan, we extended and reconfigured the layout entirely. Now the kitchen flows into dining, into the family room, with long views through the house and out to the garden.

It’s where the record collection lives, where the kids do homework, where everyone ends up. The joinery holds it all quietly together.

A considered rethink. A big difference to daily life.

CHILDRENS SPACES
Many of our clients have children and growing families. When we begin a project, we consider the whole household — the rhythms of daily life and how a home can serve them all.

For younger children, life happens close to family spaces. We create areas where toys can come out easily, and where everything has a natural place to return to.

In bedrooms, scale, colour, storage and flow all come into consideration. A well-designed child's room supports creativity, encourages calm, and quietly builds independence. When children understand their space, they begin to take ownership of it.

This kitchen from our Marten Road project is one we still love revisiting. Designed a few years back, it continues to brighten the day and lift the mood — proof of the power of colour.
