We’ve been dotting and spotting, now time for the final glaze and hoping the kiln queue isn’t too crazy long.

Dear Santa, please can Piper and I have a garden shed and a kiln for Christmas. Although after this weekend I’m pretty sure, Piper will only want all the Zootopia 2 merch in the land, as she keeps going round saying “Ice him” and “dumb bunny, sly fox” or finally “I’m going to call her Judy aaahhhh” how many more days moms until zoo two?

Slowly building our dotty stock, while planning the Christmas table.
I’ve just started making candle stick holders and small vases and going to see how they work out.
I’ve got a really old House of Hackney leopard print table runner that I think this range will look lush with.

Talking of Leopard print have you been watching the new Kingdom series all filmed in Zambia. As that’s Nyambe’s home country it’s a must in our house, and it’s beautiful, amazing uplifting but then I find myself going from, oh my look at that little baby it’s adorable (tearing up) then to oh it’s dead (sobbing hysterically) I need to toughen up or hope this new HRT settles soon.

Piper signing her art that we donated to auction.
Piper spelt her name a multiple of ways until her late teens so I always love to see how she spends ages on each letter perfecting her signature with her big dots.
It’s a little thing but one of favourite things to watch that she does, massive part of her identity.

How’s your Christmas lists going?

Piper is off school today with a baddie cough (yes my run of exactly 1 day of all the kids in school still stands)

She’s announced she wants all the ponies, in all the world for Christmas. Let’s see if they’ll fit on our estate in Hackney (and I don’t mean a lord of the manor kind of estate)
Pipers obsessions with shows and the merch on what she’s into can change without any warning. so I’m hesitant to buy anything this far away from Christmas as she can also want some obscure vintage toy that you can only get from the US, which she tells me about on Christmas Eve and as she’s a believer Santa never lets her down.

All the kids are in school and it felt like a minor miracle, it’s been a long time.

Going to put on my music, podcasts, Netflix series and make cute little vases and keep everything crossed that I don’t get a call from any of their schools.
I might even have a little scroll on here and see what you lovely lot are up to.

Okay bye dotty mugs a true collaboration between me and Piper are ready.

So happy we’ve found something we both love to do together. Whenever I ask Piper what shall we do today she says, have fun.
I think having a disabled child you get so caught up and exhausted by the system of hospitals, schools etc and as they move into adulthood, it actually gets so much harder as the support drops away or you’re having to learn a new system, that you simply forget or too drained to just have fun together.
I’ve spent the whole of 2025 since the shop shut and Pipers health hit new lows, refocussing our energy, priorities and having fun the way we want to together and while touching a huge lump of wood I can say things are good.

I want you to conquer the world

Piper is on week 2 of her half term and having a fabulous time although she’s taken to saying everything is s**t. A party we had at home (blamed it for her phone charger not working) my driving (took too long on the motorway to meet her Nanna Tiggy, her food (I left a lump in it). Hearing her swear still shocks me while all the kids are rolling on the floor laughing and think it’s most entertaining.
Could you imagine if she sat down and actually watched the news. I think she would be very cross and I’d need a bleep machine.

Loved catching her pose today, while she was waiting for me to put on her shoes, hopefully I didn’t do a s**t job at that.

I met you and you changed my life.
How many people can you name that you met either randomly or doctor or your children that massively changed your life?
Huxley is into asking me is it all mapped out and up to the universe or is it just luck, and then the sliding doors chat.
After only had 3 hours broken sleep with Piper I was so tempted to say shall we ask chat gpt but instead it got me thinking of all those lovely people.
