MANIFESTO
London Emerging Museum Professionals (LDNEMP) is a community of those in the early stages of their heritage and culture career based in London. Its purpose is to build and maintain an active network that supports knowledge exchange, skills building and resource sharing. To help emerging professionals establish themselves in the sector, LDNEMP facilitates meaningful connections with coll
eagues across different backgrounds, disciplines, and institutions. It is supported by a voluntary committee who are dedicated to pursuing the shared interests of its members. The LDNEMP community strives to:
1) Foster a welcoming, diversity embracing and fun environment for its members to comfortably ask questions, receive assistance from peers and give honest advice.
2) Identify, promote and encourage participation in professional development opportunities.
3) Represent the diverse roles within the museum sector.
4) Uphold a forward thinking ethos to best recognise, understand and adapt to the changing needs of emerging museum professionals.
5) Celebrate the achievements of the community and its individual members.
