Order of the Golden State Garter The Order of the Golden State Garter was founded in 2013 by the seven founding fathers, as depicted by the seven Fleur-de-lis on the Coat of Arms.

The Order of the Golden State Garter is an exclusive, by invitation only, private members society founded in 2013 by 7 British expatriates who are living in Southern California. The Order drew its inspiration from a desire by the founding fathers to create a Gentlemen's society steeped in the pomp, circumstance and deep rooted traditions prevalent in British society, coupled with a venue and forum

to socialise, network and drink and be merry together. Members are formally invested and enrobed only after they are nominated by an existing member and unanimously accepted via a secret ballot of the remaining members. The culmination of this process is the awarding of the signature Order of the Golden State Garter jacket, which is red in colour and features the Coat of Arms on the front. The Order meets officially and formally once a year in December but there are multiple other gatherings throughout the year.
