Want to design your dream dining room but can’t get further than Pinterest?

We get it — the endless possibilities, the crossovers in styles, the decision paralysis is real

Here’s how to break free...

Decide which item is going to be your “impact” / statement piece — in most dining rooms this will be your table.

This will impose some constraints, but that’s a good thing! You now have a starting point.

Use your table to inform your colour and material palette. At this point even your wall paint decision will be easier.

This is where Pinterest, Photoshop or physical moodboards can really begin to help shape your room.

Search for items that compliment (or contrast) your table. Focus on the functional elements first — your chairs, your lighting, and your storage.

You’ve got the hard work completed. Don’t rush for completion — our rooms are always evolving.

Enjoy collecting and adding decorative elements over time. It’ll be easy now that you’ve got your roadmap.
