A complete overhaul of this property. White doors replaced with cottage style oak doors and the outdated staircase balustrade transformed into oak and glass. Of all the staircases I have renewed this has to the the biggest transformation. The stark contrast between before and after is remarkable. It is not your standard staircase where it's a straight run or quarter space landing, it turns half way up at an angle and also on the landing proving to be a challenging process.

The under stairs area was very inaccessible so with the installation of 3 cupboards and two pullout drawers it provided the much desired organised storage solution

An impressive transformation at this property with the addition of oak cottage style doors and oak/glass staircase that exudes sheer beauty. True craftmamship is showcased in this conversion as all carpets and flooring remained in place so precision cutting to allow cladding to fit perfectly was essential.

A customer got in touch after being recommended by a neighbour for the expertise of a bespoke joiner to undertake this challenging project. They'd already had the spindles removed and replaced with glass but had not thought about the newels remaining with the turned design. For the project to be complete the newels needed to be a square style and given the fact a couple of companies didn't want to get involved it was a task that required highly skilled credentials of which I take pride in 💥

Carefully removed the glass and shortened the handrail to allow the ash cladding to be precisely notched around the treads and fixed all round the newels. The curved ceiling where the bottoms of the newels sat demanded an accurate fit with an extreme scribe, highlighted in the following pictures. Newel caps machined and fitted to the newels and all new timber finished in osmo oil to seamlessly match the existing handrail 🪚
