Another project finished. This cute small garden was done using all reclaimed materials.
Upgrading your garden doesn’t always have to be with ‘new’. The benefits of reclaimed materials are lower costs and they are much greener for the environment.
Nice one team. Well done!

One of our projects from a couple of years ago. This was originally a car park with thick tarmac. We created this garden from scratch and it is all grown with the tarmac still beneath it!
We planted Hydrangeas and roses for summer colour, with laurels and bay trees for privacy. Wooden timbers were used to create flower beds, and a half-half fence was made to allow a secret area to exist at the rear of the garden which thanks to abundant planting is not over looked.
Out of a car park we managed to construct a beautiful garden, one that can be enjoyed year-round.

“Of all flowers, methinks a rose is best.” – William Shakespeare.
We couldn’t agree more. Planting is one of our favourite jobs, and to think this garden we planted used to be a car park! Climbing roses are perfect for coverage on walls and on trellis. A climbing rose will repeat-flower almost all summer and well into autumn. A worth addition to everyone’s garden, wouldn't you agree?

Introducing Rex, our mascot. He is a Fox Red Lab who loves the beach and the ball, his toast in the morning (which he demands is cut into soldiers and hand-fed!) and most of all cuddles. Dislikes include cats, people sneezing (don’t ask) and his biggest hate – the hoover! Keep an eye out for Rex as I am sure he will be appearing on here again (he usually gets his own way!)

Another lovely new patio created for a customer. Here’s our step-by-step guide to help you achieve a charming and inviting patio space:
1. Plan the Layout:
Before you start, plan the layout of your patio. Consider the available space and how you want to arrange furniture and decor elements. Decide on either a patio or decking or a combination of both.
2. Choose Furniture:
Select comfortable and stylish outdoor furniture that fits the size of your patio. Choose furniture made from weather-resistant materials.
3. Add Soft Furnishings:
Enhance the comfort and aesthetics of your patio with soft furnishings. Use weather-resistant cushions, pillows, and throws in vibrant colours or patterns that match your overall design theme.
4. Create a Focal Point:
Choose a focal point for your patio, such as a decorative fire pit, a water feature, or a stylish outdoor rug. This will add visual interest and create a gathering point for your guests.
5. Greenery and Plants:
Incorporate greenery and plants to bring life to your patio. Use potted plants, hanging baskets, and even vertical gardens if space allows. Plants not only add beauty but also improve the overall ambiance.
6. Lighting:
Install outdoor lighting to create a warm and inviting atmosphere during evening gatherings. Consider string lights, lanterns, fairy lights, or even solar-powered path lights to illuminate walkways.
Et Voila! You are ready for entertaining.
If you need assistance with a task or project, feel free to reach out to us. With our expertise, whether it’s a patio, decking, planting or light installation we are ready to tackle the hard work for you!

Throw back to one of our first garden design projects. Complete garden overhaul, literally from scratch (and a lot of rubble!) Lots of decking, exotic plants, paths meandering through the roses to the outdoor swimming pool (yes very fancy!) A joy to work on this one as it’s not often you get a very blank canvas.

Scenic Scapes Top Tips for Your Garden Design –
FUNCTION - Function comes first. What do you use your garden for? Relaxing? Kids playing football? Pets? Decide what you need the garden to be. This is always your first step.
ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY – We need the bees! Plant wildflowers and native plants to attract bees and butterflies. Plant a tree for shade and noise pollution. Nature can thrive even in the smallest of gardens so make space for some wildlife in your garden design.
BUDGET – Be realistic. Some materials can be very expensive so be realistic about your budget. We can always provide different quotes with different materials to suit your budget.
HIRE A PROFESSIONAL – Always hire a professional with a lot of experience, someone that can understand your vision and help make it true.
GET CREATIVE – Don’t be afraid to get creative, use different materials, add levels, add lights, add a water feature.
Scenic Scapes is here to help with all of the above! Get in touch and let’s get designing!
