A handcrafted coffee table made from an authentic Koval whiskey cask, showcasing the rich character and heritage of the barrel. The cask is fitted with a solid barrel-end tabletop, creating a distinctive circular surface that highlights the natural grain and cooperage markings of the original oak. Finished in a deep dark oak stain, the table features warm, earthy tones that enhance the wood’s texture while providing a sophisticated, rustic appearance. Another chessboard underway.
Crafted from reclaimed barrel end staves, this piece is being made to a customer’s specifications, featuring a charred wood finish. The customer’s chosen colour will be applied in the next stage.

For now, the first sealing coat of resin has been applied to stabilise and protect the wood before the remaining finishing work begins. Looking forward to seeing this one come to life as the layers build up.
