Vintage Cintique Update - I’m all ears when there’s a emotional attachment to a chair. This old and tired chair belonged to the owner’s granny. Fully updated with the wood refreshed, and a complete update to the upholstery, the chair is now sitting back in the exact spot in the owner’s home where her granny used to sit.

Re-designed Adam Smith Theatre seats - if you ever sat in the front row at the Adam Smith Theatre, then you might just have sat in these seats: numbers 8 and 9. My lovely customer was lucky enough to buy 2 chairs when the theatre was refurbished.

Vintage Guy Rogers Manhattan Reclining Teak Armchair. This chair was one of a pair that I salvaged. The chair needed a complete overhaul: reviving the gorgeous afromosia wood frame, re-webbing and the re-upholstering - all elements that I love to do. It’s a complete testament to the beautiful original design that this chair can still live on

How beautiful are Ercol chair frames?!? I just feel that they need to be celebrated. I’ve complimented the frame with a spicy Moon fabric that’s aptly called ‘Fire’.

This vintage chair remake has been a true project. Belonging to the owner's grandmother, it's rich in history. One of a pair, it's unique construction features a metal frame with a spring suspension system that I'd never seen before. Using traditional techniques, I've hand-stitched every layer to restore it to its former glory. It's still a mystery who made it, but it's incredibly comfy to sit in.

I was thrilled to be asked to make new cushions for this Alf Svensson and Yngvar Sandstrom Galaxy Lounge Chair using the lovely owner’s Harris Tweed fabric. We wanted to make the chair more comfortable, while retaining the flowing curved lines of this iconic chair

Support the Makers 3-Day Pop up Shop - from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th March I’m going to be joining 7 other independent makers selling in a pop up shop located at 2A Broughton Street, Edinburgh. I’ll be selling cushions made from ‘waste’ upholstery material. These are gorgeous fabrics that are simply too small to use on chairs. It bothers me to throw the fabric out and so I’ve made into cushions. Please visit the shop if you can
