No two projects are the same and that’s exactly how we approach them.

From warehouses and bulk stores to factories, showrooms and large-scale infrastructure, every building we deliver is designed around the specific requirements of the client, the site and how the space will be used day to day.

Our experience in civil engineering and industrial building construction means we understand what’s needed beyond the structure itself - whether that’s accommodating complex steel frames, integrating office and workshop space, or planning for future expansion.

We’ve worked with commercial, agricultural and industrial clients across East Anglia to deliver bespoke steel structures that are built for performance, efficiency and long-term use.

It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach - it’s a considered, tailored solution for every project.

If you’re planning a new industrial or agricultural building, we’d be glad to discuss your requirements. Give our team a call today: 01379 678459.

Here at J H Vaudrey, we understand that building contracting and maintenance services need to be adaptable because no two clients or properties are the same.

We work across domestic and commercial properties, supporting private individuals, estate managers, agricultural businesses and commercial clients with everything from ongoing maintenance to refurbishment and structural building works.

Each project comes with its own requirements, whether that’s maintaining a working farm building, upgrading a commercial space or carrying out sensitive work within an established estate.

With a broad range of experience across our team, we’re able to deliver building contracting services that are practical, reliable and tailored to how each property is used day to day.

For many of our clients, it’s about having a contractor they can trust to understand the bigger picture - not just the job in front of them.

So if you need a contractor who understands the bigger picture? Get in touch with our team today. Call: 01379 678459 to chat to our experienced team.

Agricultural construction across the UK is continuing to evolve, with a growing focus on farm efficiency and long-term performance.

We’re seeing increasing demand for larger, more efficient grain storage, alongside steel buildings designed to accommodate modern machinery and changing operational needs.

With Permitted development rights allowing buildings up to 1500m2 we are seeing strong demand for larger buildings on farms. With many farmers using this as a chance to restructure the utilisation of their farm buildings building a large modern building to accommodate their farming needs. This allows for the repurposing of their existing older and smaller buildings into other uses such as commercial lets and other revenues.

There’s also a clear shift towards:
🌬️ Improved ventilation
🌡️ Better temperature control
💪 More flexible layouts that allow farms to adapt over time.

With tighter margins and changing regulations, agricultural buildings need to work harder than ever. Planning ahead and getting the design right from the outset, plays a key role in supporting efficiency across farms and rural estates in East Anglia.

Well-designed steel frame structures are proving to be a reliable solution for businesses looking to invest in durability, flexibility and long-term value.

If this resonates with you and you would like to discuss your requirements, give our experienced team a call today: 01379 678459

New project in Essex 🔧

We’ve carefully taken down an existing building, ready to reposition it and create a larger, more practical yard space. Now the structure is removed, we’re moving onto groundworks - stripping back topsoil and preparing the sub-base for the new hardstanding.

Building in a rural setting often requires more than just good construction.

Planning considerations, environmental impact, proximity to listed buildings and integration within the landscape all play a part - particularly across Suffolk and Norfolk where heritage and countryside character matter.

We understand the importance of balancing practicality with sensitivity to surroundings.
Whether working alongside surveyors, planning consultants or conservation specialists, our focus is always the same: delivering strong, functional structures that sit comfortably within their environment.

Rural buildings should work hard - but they should also belong.

Caring for Heritage, Preserving the FutureWhether it’s breathing new life into a historic building or gently restoring estate properties in need of some TLC, JH Vaudrey & Son approaches every project with care, respect and craftsmanship.

We understand the importance of preserving character while ensuring buildings remain practical for modern use - using traditional techniques and sympathetic materials throughout.

Because great buildings deserve to be looked after, for generations to come.

As a family-run business, our name goes on every project we complete.

Whether it’s a large agricultural grain store, an equestrian building, a warehouse for food storage or a bespoke steel frame for a specialist build, we approach every job the same way - with care, attention to detail and pride in the end result.

No project is “just another job”.

We understand that for our clients, these buildings are long-term investments. They support livelihoods, protect harvests and serve estates for generations.

That’s why we treat each project as if it were our own.

We’re proud to support a thriving honey bee hive in Haughley. 🐝

Bees might be small, but their impact is enormous. They are responsible for pollinating a huge proportion of the crops we rely on every day. Without pollinators, farming as we know it would struggle - affecting everything from food production to biodiversity.

As a company that works closely with farms and rural estates across East Anglia, we see first-hand how important a healthy ecosystem is to long-term success.

Strong structures matter. But so do the small things holding the countryside together.
We’re delighted to see the hive doing so well as we head into spring. 🌷
