One of my lovely clients she has an ash brown shade, with some balayage pieces throughout and baby lights through the top sections to blend the grey when it grows out and finished with a toner to keep the blonde on a more neutral level in keeping with the ash brunette
This client has a permanent colour to cover the grey and so this is pretty hard to lift through to get a cool blonde so I keep the blonde neutral as trying to get it any lighter in order to make it cooler is just not going to happen
Sometimes you just have to work with what you have and set expectations 🎀
