Here are a few shots from a recent commercial project I completed at the end of 2025.
The this project was in conjunction with Carly who designed the interior scheme.
We worked together to finalise the specifications and then I constructed the frame frames and upholstered the seating at my studio here in Hove.
Fabrics and leathers were supplied by myself with the seats being upholstered in , backs upholstered in and lumber cushion in .

Bespoke armchair made here at my workshop in Hove.
This Beautiful armchair was made for a nursery to fit the space perfectly.The overall dimensions were tailored to the clients specifications as were the back and seat cushion fillings.
This is a service I offer , making any piece of upholstered furniture to your exact specifications. Seat heights, seat and back depths, overall dimensions and fillings and springs can be tailored exactly to your needs.
Each individual piece of furniture is designed and constructed here at my workshop in Hove including all of the frames which are made from solid European beechwood as-well as all of the upholstery elements.
Fabrics and trimmings can also be chosen and supplied including meeting the correct fire regulations and fabrics and trimmings are available from nearly all major fabric houses.
This very pretty chair has been upholstered in Clarke and Clarke alvar Velvet in colour petal with the contrast piping in Alvar velvet colour snow.

Super comfy, Bespoke solid beech frame armchair made her in Hove!
This chair is constructed using solid European beech with dowelled glued and screwed frame joints making it incredibly robust like the furniture of old.
The seat and back are made lovely and bouncy by the inclusion of traditional coil springs which are individually hand tied into position.
The legs have been finished by hand to the clients specifications and colour.
Finished in this lovely deep piled pattern belt from fabrics.
At my studio I can make any type of upholstered furniture to your size and specifications, and the loveliest part is that it is all made and upholstered right here in Hove ,Sussex.

This Great new upholstery product has been available for a few years now but I wanted to highlight it.
It is a predominantly recycled polyester which can be used as a replacement to regular polyurethane foam commonly used for upholstery padding.
The product is infinitely recyclable and is manufactured in the uk at a facility in yorkshire that runs on up to 70% solar and renewable energy.
Spring bond is also hypoallergenic, breathable and VOC free providing a better living environment.
At my studio in Hove I can produce bespoke upholstered furniture to your design and size incorporating this product.
Eco ranges of fabrics are also available to chose from and free fabric sampling is available .

Parker knoll armchair restoration.This well loved and used chair was in a very tired state and the client wished to breathe some new life into it.
The chair was stripped back to the bare frame, all loose joints were repaired and the arms and legs were also sanded and French polished before full reupholstery.
The fabric used is from omega printed velvet range which was supplied by myself from my extensive fabric library at my studio in Hove.

Here is a Knowle that has just left my studio after full reupholstery.
The sofa has been upholstered in this striking orange plush velvet from with tie back supplied by Jls design .
I find it a very satisfying process working on these very traditional sofas as they are the type of pieces I worked on during my apprenticeship over 30 years ago.Many hours spent hand sewing decorative cords and heavy bullion fringe to what was then solely traditionally upholstered pieces.
It is a great feeling to know another sofa will live on for decades to come and has been saved from landfill!

Made to the clients specifications and constructed with a hand made, solid beech frame which was made at my studio in Hove.
At my studio I can produce truly bespoke upholstered furniture to any size or design you may desire and in addition I can also supply fire retardant upholstery fabrics from most major fabric design houses and a free fabric sampling service.

New bespoke extra wide armchair that I constructed and upholstered at my studio in Hove.
This chair is super comfortable having a traditional hand tied coil spring seat which gives both support and bounce.
Frames are made by myself in Hove and are constructed using solid steamed European beech with dowelled, glued and screws joints.
The chair is finished in a rather lovely boucle with gold embroidery detail.
I specialise in the construction of new bespoke upholstered furniture and restoration of existing furniture for both the domestic and commercial settings and would be delighted to discuss any projects .

I’ve just finished constructing this bespoke solid beech love seat frame in my frame making workshop shop in Hove, destined for one of my local interior design clients.
I will be upholstering this piece with a hand tied coil spring seat so it’s super comfy when finished!More images to follow once I have completed the upholstery !

Beautiful antique flute back wing chair restoration.
This chair needed lots of love to bring it back to its best including a complete strip down to the frame,repairs to the joints, woodworm treatment and french polishing before all new upholstery including a hand tied coil spring seat with independent spring seat edge.
