Following on from our recent Mental Health Awareness Week posts and this year’s theme of Take Action 💙 , today was a reminder that sometimes the most important action is simply bringing people together.
At A Plush Flush, alongside Loo of The Year Awards Ltd, we are proud to support We Are Farming Minds, an incredible local mental health charity supporting the farming community across Herefordshire and our local area.
Today we provided toilet facilities and picnic benches through A Plush Flush for their monthly One Foot in the Grain gathering, held on the last Friday of every month. These events give farmers the opportunity to visit different farms, learn about farming practices, socialise, talk openly and share food together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Farming can often be isolating, and charities like We Are Farming Minds are making a real difference to so many people and families across Herefordshire.
We are incredibly proud to work alongside them and support the amazing work they do within our rural community.
Because mental health support is not always about grand gestures, sometimes it starts with conversation, connection, community and creating welcoming spaces where people feel comfortable to come together.

What a weekend for the Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers County Rally at Broxwood, hosted by the Thomas Family last Saturday.
A Plush Flush was very privileged to supply all the toilet facilities for both the daytime activities and the evening celebrations.
The Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers has played a huge part in the Wall family life over the years, with both Charles and I serving as County Vice Presidents, and myself also being a trustee. Our daughter Steph is also a member and currently Chairperson of our old club, Allensmore Young Farmers, making it even more special for us all to be involved.
The toilet set up included 16 standalone plastic units, two 6-berth gentlemen’s urinal units and a disabled access toilet, all carefully positioned in an L-shape across the site. Every unit was fully restocked and checked between the daytime and evening events, and everything was cleared from site by lunchtime yesterday.
We were incredibly lucky to have help from members of the County teams, along with my brother, during both the set-up and clear-down. Charles supervised operations whilst still recovering and not yet fit enough for the lifting, pushing and pulling involved with the units.

Today marked the very first booking for the luxury trailers under the new ownership of Hector Mackellar from Hippo Events.
Charles and I travelled down to the site to help with the first set-up, making sure both Hector and our customers, who we have had the pleasure of providing facilities for at many of their family events over the years, were happy and confident with everything.
It feels very special to be able to pass our knowledge on to the next generation, but even more rewarding to see Hector’s energy, enthusiasm and strong business awareness shining through already.
We wish him every success on this exciting new journey and we know the trailers are in very good hands.
Thank you to all our past customers who have hired trailers from us over the past 21 years.
We are however still hiring out the single plastics, plastic disabled access and the standalone plastic gent's urinals, for events and parties.

After 20 amazing years of supporting incredible events across the UK, we want to share some news. As of 1st April 2026, the luxury mobile trailer side of our business will have been sold to Hector of Hippo Event Hire. This was not a decision we took lightly, but we know Hector shares our values of quality, reliability, and excellent customer care and we are confident that any future trailer bookings are in very capable hands.
✨ Please note: Our Single Plastic event toilets are still very much part of A Plush Flush and will continue to be managed fully in-house. You can count on the same top-quality service, attention to detail, and personal care you have come to expect.
We are incredibly grateful to all our customers over the past 20 years — your support, trust, and loyalty have made this journey possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💛
We are working closely with Hector to ensure a smooth transition, and with your permission, we can pass any luxury trailer enquiries directly to him so he can provide a quote.

Celebrating Community and Charity at Hereford Racecourse
Last Wednesday, A Plush Flush was proud to support the Richard Layton Charity Raceday at Hereford Racecourse—an inspiring event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for three exceptional causes:
💛 We Are Farming Minds
🚁 Midlands Air Ambulance
🏇 Injured Jockeys Fund
This event was especially meaningful as it honoured Richard Layton, a dear friend to many who was tragically lost far too young after a long battle with mental health. His legacy and the causes he cared about deeply brought people together to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
A heartfelt thank you to the Layton and Howells families for their incredible effort in organising such a thoughtful and impactful day. Your dedication and hard work ensured Richard’s memory continues to inspire and help others.
It’s events like these that remind us of the importance of mental health awareness, community connection, and supporting one another. Well done to everyone who contributed to making this day such a success! 💛

Being a small business owner and a Mum is a constant balancing act – managing work, family, and all the little things that pop up in between! Some days it feels like I’m switching hats every minute. But one of the things that makes it easier is having a supportive network around me.
