I studied furniture design and making at Bridgwater College under two renowned furniture makers, Jessica Horder and Steve Hopper, after completing the four year course I qualified to City & Guilds level three gaining two distinctions. In 2013 after completing their selection process I was accepted as a full craft member to The Somerset Guild of Craftsmen. I won the Guilds first Furniture Award in
2012 awarded by Tony Portus of Cato Design and the Guilds Best of the Best competition in 2013 awarded by Joanna Foster CBE chair of the Crafts Council and President of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild. I make furniture to commission and some speculative pieces using solid wood and fine veneers, I use traditional and modern cabinet making techniques with an emphasis on hand tool work, everything I make is finished by hand, my aim is to produce work of the highest standard. Kitchens make up quite a large part of my work, I make hand painted kitchens, kitchens in solid wood and I have a range of vinyl covered doors in wood effects and solid colours.
