The Gator watch came to life following a visit by Colleen Wong to a local farm park. A little boy was lost and it was announced over the intercom. This broadcast kept her awake that night as she has two young children herself. She couldn’t help but think there must be a better way for parents to deal with such stressful situations. The idea of a wearable mobile phone came to her and that’s where this journey began. Colleen’s vision was to develop a product that kids and their parents would both love. The result was a wearable mobile phone that can make two-way calls, works across multiple networks and has an SOS feature for peace of mind. Colleen and the team strongly believe that kids should be kids for as long as possible and hopes to be a part of the movement that encourages children to lead full and active lives rather than being glued to their smartphones as they grow into adolescence.
