With over 27 years' experience in designing and making beautiful handmade conservatories, orangeries and pool houses, Glass Houses by Jeremy Uglow's hardwood glass extensions grace some of the finest properties in England. Whether it's extending a small kitchen into a magnificent kitchen dining room, adding a play room or simply creating a new environment for the family to relax, a Glass Houses gl

ass extension will change the way you live. Working exclusively in the finest timber, all Glass Houses conservatories, orangeries, swimming pool enclosures and roof lanterns are hand crafted using modern and traditional methods with every component made to exact dimensions. Traditional or contemporary, small or large, designers at Glass Houses work with their customers to ensure that their new glass extension integrates perfectly with their home blending with the style and period of the property. A complete project managed service is offered at Glass Houses taking care of every detail from obtaining planning permission if necessary, (listed building application where required), applying for building regulations, digging the foundations to applying the final coat of paint. Glass Houses have a passion for period architecture, fine quality and detail as illustrated in the galleries on the web site.

Here is an exquisite example of one of our pool houses which belongs to a beautiful property situated on the outskirts of Poole, offering a fine example of how you can create that warm feeling in a large open room. This home owner has achieved this through the use of wicker furniture and light stone materials. The balmy colours matched with the earthy fabric of the lounge chairs help create that fresh summer feel.

When taking into consideration the exterior of the house, you can really see the relationship between the design of the house windows and the pool house windows, while the creamy painted finish on the timber engages with the interior colour theme.

Orangeries are more like an extended room than a conservatory. They also offer more light than an ordinary brick built extension which creates a link between your home and garden.

This magnificent Georgian property was recently adorned with one of our orangeries that beautifully showcases our phenomenal CNC crafted curved doors housed in lime-rendered curved stone walls and makes use of a specially cast coping stone.

Technical ability, classic design, skilled craftsmen and attention to detail have created a focal piece for this building to rival the main structure itself.
