Crinodendron hookerianum or Chile lantern tree 🏮one of my favourites and they’re looking great right now! And I know my Grandparents have one just outside their front door, and as they’ve been on lockdown they’ve been appreciating their garden even more. Hope all your gardens are bringing you joy 🌱

Looking back through photos from our trip to Madeira. It feels like a lifetime ago now; so much has happened since. •
We’re not moving to Wales anymore and we’ve managed to find a caravan in the woods to make our home. It’s such a time of uncertainty, but the generous community spirit it’s bringing out in everyone is amazing 💛 • I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if anyone needs help, or knows anyone who does, let me know. We’re happy to help.

Such a strange start to the week. Our, and so many friends and family, plans have been swept from underneath us - livelihoods and security are feeling in danger.
I wake up this morning still reeling from lots of news yesterday. I know lots of people are saying it but it’s time to really support LOCAL businesses, where we can. If we can keep them afloat during these times it will make it, hopefully, easier for them to recover after this all blows over.
Lots of friends with small businesses have suggested buying a gift voucher for the future - something to look forward to. Lots of people are looking into online workshops or classes, including 💛
It is also a very important time to reach out to neighbours, the vulnerable or elderly and anyone you know who is self isolating. Isolation doesn’t have to be lonely. We are in such an over-connected world, technologically, so reach out and get in contact with everyone!
If we are all going to be house-bound we will definitely have time for a good long chat on the phone or sending an in-depth email.
And if anyone needs to chat, message me. I’ve already be overwhelmed by the generosity and openness of people, and I’d like to help where I can.
Love to all 💛

Nearly getting there with shapes and forms I’m happy with! But I’m struggling to find somewhere to carry on potting in West Wales, once we move.
Glazes and decoration is something that I’d really like to get stuck into but will have to wait til I have time and space to do so.
Fingers crossed I can get some last few bits through the kiln before we head off 🤞

Exploring along one of Madeiras many ‘levadas’ - they are old waterways used for irrigation of there many and plentiful crops.
Everyone has a space for growing their own here, big or small, flat or on a slope!
I can’t wait to have a patch of my own to get growing 🌱
