Finally got this arch and gate installed. Lovely cottage in a lively part of Devon. It seems to do its job of keeping the dogs in the garden.

Two more shaving horses came into the world this weekend. Thanks to Gina and Steve for a great weekend and all their hard work. We'll done.

More from today's little milling session. Loving the 881 and panther mill. Used a full chisel hyper skip chain for the first time. Worked well but didn't blow me away compared to the standard ripping chain. Took the depth gauges right down on the 362 and it really chewed through. I love turning trees into stuff.

First go at using a mini chsin saw mill today for vertical cuts to get some shaving horse beds. I was pleasantly surprised and the 362 did a cracking job despite being a bit of a bu**er this week.

We were lucky enough to have the incredibly talented Dave from with us on a recent course. As well as making stunning table he found the time to entertain my family and helped them to create three stunning mosaics of their own design. It was incredible to watch and both my kids and wife had a great time with Dave who is incredibly creative, patient and encouraging.
