The shade 2AM, Dark Royal Blue by COAT chosen to suit the scale of the room. A bespoke island in our reclaimed oak, haberdashery-inspired, truly one of a kind. A separate utility space carved out of a room with not a single true right angle. And in the dining area, a fridge and larder built to look like a piece of furniture that was always meant to be there.

A bifold door to hide your appliances, or a pocket door to hide a bar area can be wonderful solutions. As we design and craft everything ourselves in our wood workshop in the Scottish Borders, there’s no limit to what that can look like.

The magic of a pocket door and an integrated fridge freezer...

On one side, a fully fitted oak coffee cabinet tucked behind a pocket door, open shelving, a coffee machine and pull-out drawers, invisible when closed. On the other, a fully integrated fridge freezer that disappears completely into the cabinetry.

A Georgian Edinburgh home renovation, the cornice set the tone, and we followed its lead..

The island, painted in Farrow & Ball Eating Room Red, anchors the space with warmth and depth, while the outer cabinetry in Papers & Paints Stone III keeps everything feeling light and considered. A bespoke banquette tucked into the corner creates a natural dining area without losing any of the kitchen's sense of space.

The handmade range hood, a Lacanche cooker, a Shaws Belfast sink and Arabescato Gold quartz worktops from MBP Surfaces complete a kitchen designed to feel as beautiful to use as it does to look at. Finished throughout with brass accents that complement every detail perfectly.

A large central island sits at the heart of the room, housing an integrated oven combination, warming drawer and integrated freezer, with a Bora induction hob and integrated extraction keeping the sightlines overhead completely clear. A further unit houses an integrated fridge freezer and hidden coffee bar behind a pocket door, while a separate pantry and utility room complete the space.
