Last year we started a new family tradition, our very own family advent calendar. Which brings us together every morning over breakfast, to open a present for each day until Christmas eve. It's a real hit in our house, and it wouldn't be Christmas without it now!

We have great fun making the calendar too, every one picks a family members name out of a hat and they have a £12 budget to buy four presents for that person. They're then wrapped up with a name on, put in another box which is wrapped again, then numbers are put on each one, so nobody knows who's is whos! There is only four of us, so not all the boxes have presents in, some just have chocolates in, oh and a present for the dog and rabbit!
