IKEA Platsa Wardrobe Assembly & Installation

This job was for a repeat customer in St Alban's, with the goal of making better use of a bedroom alcove.

First we dismantled the old made.com wardrobe to make space for the new wardrobe.

The new Platsa Wardrobe is a modular design. With two 1.8m units and two 60cm units joined together to completely fill the space.

Secured to the wall for safety and strength these wardrobes are really well designed.

The best thing about the Platsa range is much like the PAX wardrobes, these units are fully customizable to suit your needs

With internal cage drawers at the bottom of the wardrobe for extra storage. This wardrobe will easily hold double the amount of items and clothes the original wardrobe held.

Large Cat Flap Install

This was fitted for a new customer in Studham that had just moved to the area.

Being out in the countryside, it definitely needed to be a chip controlled cat flap to stop any unwanted visitors. This one is a Sureflap from

These cat flaps are really well designed and use your pets microchip to allow the opening to unlock.

Twin Bed Assembly

2x Very Riley fabric bed frames assembled for a brand new customer in the Houghton Regis Thorn fields development.

These frames are from and the quality was really good. I particularly like the fact that for a single bed they come with 3 centre rail supports.
Perfect for a kids bedroom without the risk of the frame or slats giving way.

We also assembled 2x Brimnes for the master bedroom.

Bedroom Transformation

Last week we completed this bedroom for a repeat customer in Luton.

In total we assembled a Single trundle bed, PAX wardrobes with customised configurations, Alex Desk, storage cupboard for behind the door and a great little bedside cabinet with built in charging sockets.

We also made use of some white furniture board to create some shelves in the window recess for extra storage for all those smaller items.

To finish it off, we mounted the TV onto a long reach adjustable arm bracket. So the TV can easily be seen from the angle of the bed and then pushed back to the wall when the desk is being used.

A very happy customer with a very happy daughter. With a room that will grow with her over the years to come.

Keter 4x6ft Manor Apex Resin Garden Shed Assembly.

This shed was assembled for a brand new customer in central Watford. Making use of their small patio area hidden behind the large garage.

These sheds really are a great addition to a garden. Brilliant and very well designed kits, that go together without the issues of other brands.

Couldn't recommend more, we even have one in our garden.
They are available at a wide range of UK retailers.

We also quickly connected up this customers water butt before leaving. Another satisfied new customer.

Garden gate and fence painting

This local job was through recommendation from a previous customer.

This gate had been recently installed (local council team). Unfortunately framed in internal wood, meaning it needed treating to protect it from the elements.

We removed the gate and all the ironmongery to get a good finish, painting it in Dragonfly Blue Matt from . Along with the surrounding framework and small fence area.

After 3 coats we re mounted the gate and left one very happy new customer with a uniformed and great looking garden gate.

Rotten Gate Repair

This job was for a repeat customer's mum, she wanted her gate repaired before the winter comes. The original wood had completely rotted away behind the drop bolt area, making the gates rattle and move in the wind.

The customer did previously have a family member attempt to fill the gate to repair it. But it was way too rotten to hold any strength.

We attended the property to remove all the rot and to treat the gate with .uk wet rot hardener.

After a week or so we returned to complete the repair. With the rotten sections stripped back and new treated timber spliced in it's place, this gate should last a few more years until the rot effects other areas.

Treated with the original paint supplied by the customer, the repair blends well and let's the drop bolt function correctly.

Another happy customer and with a few more jobs to come next month.
