Winter in the garden is far from dull, look closely and you will discover beauty everywhere. From gorgeous jewel coloured Hellebores to the lacey remnants on Hydrangea petals and the atmospheric late afternoon glow as the light fades ๐ŸคŽ

One of my favourite jobs in the garden at this time of year is dead heading, I usually just chop and drop, the flower heads will decay and help to feed the soil for more beautiful blooms ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

On my machine today I have this gorgeous Riley Blake cheeky monkey fabric from Jinty and Baa Needlecrafts ๐Ÿ’›. It's going to be a new liner for the inside of a bag, such a lovely project to work on ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I was at one of my regular gardens, starting off with dead-heading roses and then moving onto weeding the beds, including the rockery. I also finished off the brick edging on the flower beds that I've been working on for the past month or so.
The Crocosmia Lucifer has come into bloom properly this week (must be all the rain at the weekend ๐Ÿ˜ƒ) and is looking fabulously fiery against the black fence. The Clematis is also flowering nicely, I only planted this a couple of months ago ๐Ÿ˜Š

It's been a while since I posted on here (4 years ๐Ÿ™ˆ!) so I thought it was time for a long overdue wee update.

I've changed my business name to better reflect what I'm up to these days ๐Ÿ™‚.

I do any kind of sewing work from soft furnishings (large curtains are a speciality) to clothing alterations to the more unusual and unique items. I offer a bespoke service, if it can be stitched then I will sew it for you ๐Ÿ™‚. I have many years of experience in sewing, having learnt tailoring from my nan, who was also a Tailoress.

I also do wee gardening jobs such as planting, pruning, digging and weeding. I can offer a regular service or ad hoc as and when needed (please note: I don't do the big jobs such as grass cutting, strimming and hedge cutting). I have a non-chemical ethos, so I will not use slug pellets or chemical pest control or weedkillers. Natural methods only ๐Ÿ™‚. I'm also fairly midge resistant ๐Ÿ˜‚ and am happy to work in inclement conditions (apart from really stormy weather!).

I am also a fully qualified interior designer so can offer a design service for your home and garden, no job too small.

(The photo is of a vase of blooms grown in my garden ๐Ÿงก).

Today is National Sewing Machine day (who knew?!), so here it is. Nothing fancy, just a 23 year old Singer, my very trusty steed! ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘—๐Ÿ‘–๐Ÿ‘š๐ŸŽฝ๐Ÿ‘œ
