This was a lovely clean example of a Ford Mondeo with the pretty rare Bi Turbo 2.0 TDCI Euro6 engine.

The cars new owner has recently collected it from down South and not long after purchase it has gone into limp mode and is suffering very poor fuel economy.

A DPF fault code was present together with very high exhaust pressure.

Otherwise the car was found to be in very good condition with no other faults so potentially a historic problem had caused the DPF to become blocked.

It's very common to see a seperate fault has caused a blocked DPF and although that fault is repaired, the DPF cannot unblock itself once it has reached a certain point.

This poorly feeling Mondeo required our professional DPF cleaning service courtesy of Launch Tech UK products to get the filter cleaned out and the pressures back to normal, the car out of limp mode and allow it's own regeneration process to take over.

Remember - correct diagnosis is so important so not only the root problem is cured but all follow up work is also carried out.

Short journeys and an underlying boost hose fault were the culprits for higher than normal exhaust pressures and a DPF that wasn't long away from being blocked on this Ford Fiesta 1.5tdci.

A full DPF clean using our Launch Tech UK equipment and DPF cleaning fluid and we had the pressures back to normal ready to be handed over to TayTec Tuning for an ECU remap to release more bhp and torque.

Called out to this beauty, Jaguar XF with the always impressive 3.0 diesel.

Except this one was feeling a little off colour.

A fully blocked DPF was preventing start but it's important to remember, DPFs don't just block for no reason.

We diagnosed a choked up throttle body which the customer promptly had replaced.

A full DPF clean using our Launch UK equipment and DPF cleaning fluid and we had this big cat purring once again.

Why Is Hydrogen So Effective At Cleaning My Engine?
Hydrogen is highly flammable much more so than petrol and diesel so when your engine ignites the hydrogen the explosion ignites the fuel with much better results.

It is cleaner, produces less waste and fewer emissions. The hydrogen burns at a higher rate than fuel. When driving at high speeds on a motorway, your engine will reach very high temperatures. What we have created is a way to simulate motorway speeds but while the car at idle on your driveway. Because the hydrogen is burning faster along with fuel the engine will reach optimal temperature at idle. While this cycle is in process, the hydrogen is stripping the carbon from the walls of the engine and parts. This is a very safe way and will not over heat the engine or damage anything along the way.

The hydrogen´s higher temperature burn rate and that explosive force splits and cleans the carbon atom (soot) that collects in the engine. With a cleaner engine you get better mileage, quieter engine, better fuel economy, better response, and to recover lost BHP over the years!
