Why’s my tongue blue?
Methylene blue is my FAVOURITE brain booster – it’s an absolute game-changer for my productivity and cognition.
I use it most days because it’s an amazingly powerful & cheap multifunctional nootropic.
It was actually the first antimalarial, has been used to treat carbon monoxide poisoning, and is considered an essential medicine by the for all A&E centres.
In fact, a 2019 study on Alzheimer’s patients who were given methylene blue, noted a whopping 85% improvement in the hallmarks of dementia. Wow, these results speak for themselves!
Methylene blue has multiple benefits:
- Antiviral, antifungal & antimicrobial
- Boosts mitochondrial function
- Fights neurodegeneration
- Improves memory & learning
- Improves depression & mood
- Increases NAD+ & energy production
- Treats carbon monoxide & cyanide intoxication
- Has antic properties
- Helps with jet lag & oxygenation during flights
There’s even research popping up now stating that MB can help with, herpes, hepatitis and even HIV!
It’s important to get only a high-quality, food-grade methylene blue, not the industrial-grade stuff for fish tanks, which contains lots of contaminants like arsenic, mercury, lead etc. I use (USA)
There’s no food-grade methylene blue that I could find on Amazon (UK), so stay clear.
IMPORTANT! Methylene blue is toxic in high doses so seek advice before diving in… I use 10mg a day for a month at a time.
So, despite how AMAZING it makes you feel when you take it, it’s important not to go over the recommended dose – doing so could lead to serious problems.
Also, NEVER take MB if you’re on SSRIs.
Do you use methylene blue? Tell me your experience in the comments.
