Then, off the back of that (thinking I was going to get a week of R&R in to recover) I was approached by the events team that organises these launches to do something special for the SV 'Ultra' event with less than a two week deadline. Top secret for a few more days so more on that later in the week...

Quite a lot of thought went into these keyfobs, including colour matching to the SV leather interior. All in all there were 12 stages to craft the keyfob from start to finish, from cutting, embossing with the SV logo, gluing, marking, pricking, stitching, edging, burnishing etc... all by hand. Was also asked to demo the handcrafting process at the launch party, and personalise the keyfobs for the invited guests. Had a que most of the evening, but did manage to snaffle a few cocktails towards the end 😊

I was asked by Sinclair Landrover's Swansea showroom to make 120 hand stitched key fobs for the launch of the Range Rover latest model, the SV. With less than three weeks with a bank holiday in the middle, plus a custom made press knife not turning up so I had to hand cut each one 😱 it was a tall order, but with a little help and a few late nights just about made the launch party, see next post...

Do you make baskets, but want to learn how to make beautiful fastenings & straps? Then this is definitely the course for you! In collaboration with Pembrokeshire Willow & Wool at Bryn a Môr Farm in beautiful Marros, Pendine, I'll be teaching you everything you need to know on a one day workshop tailored specifically for basketmakers, but also if you just want to make lovely straps and handles for things.

In a small group you’ll learn the basics of leatherwork, to include types of leather suitable for different applications, focusing on vegetable tanned leather. You’ll learn where to source the leather, tools required, and all the techniques – cutting, edging & burnishing. You’ll be taught about fixing hardware, and the different techniques for riveting etc. Materials are included in the price, and lunch is even provided! Saturday 30th May, I think there are 2 spaces left. To book go to

Using every bit of the hide. The Raw Edge Leather Bag, my signature style as well as most popular seller. This one is a custom made size with added zip pocket, which goes right through the brand mark. Usually regarded as waste it would be such a shame to waste an otherwise perfectly usable part of the hide just because of a bit of provenance.
