Had a helper yesterday! Work experience day for my daughter and she worked on two footstools 💖💖
She learnt how to strip furniture, web up, all the different layers to build up, foam cutting, making buttons and obviously using my favourite tool- my staple gun and compressor!
The girl did good! So proud! 💕💕💕

Day 5: 💚💚💚
Finally feel like we’re getting somewhere now first coat of colour has gone on!
All the woodwork has been undercoated, first coat of colour on the walls, ceiling and wood and look at that shelf I sanded and treated! Turned from a rough piece of wood to a thing of beauty!

Day 4: so much prep!!! 😫
Treating all the knots on the woodwork, making panelling, skirting, door frames, picture rails, and then undercoating the walls and ceiling. And a broken nail gun 😂🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

Day 2 and 3 on site: plastering complete ✅ skirts, arcs and panelling bought ✅ carpet bought ✅ paint bought ✅ and a side project on the go ready for the garden makeover 😂
I literally just want to get on with decorating and dressing but need this plaster to dry first!

Day 1 on site – emptying the room, stripping the carpet and getting those walls ready for plastering. Pro tip: It’s all in the prep! Is this the worst part of the job or satisfying?! Watch this space for plastering and building 🛠️
