First trailer came in today from a new commercial customer with a fleet servicing schedule now in place. With the customer stating their trailers travel all over the country fully laden, this one came in in the nick of time. When the trailer was lifted in the air, it was quickly apparent one of the leaf springs had snapped. This could’ve been pretty disastrous on the road. On top of that, all four bump stops missing and a cracked tyre. This trailer will be back on the road tomorrow with new leaf springs, new bump stops, a couple of new tyres and a few other bits.

The below photos just show how important prepurchase inspections and trailer servicing really are. If a seller states that a trailer has recently been serviced, please only believe this if it is backed up by an invoice and/or a service report.
The trailer in the photos was purchased as being ‘recently serviced’. It is in a very dangerous unroadworthy condition. The list was long, very long. This is just a few photos of the issues found.

Ifor Williams HB511 year 2010 in graphite coming in to sell on behalf of a good customer.
This trailer has been very well looked after and I have serviced it every year since 2019, with the last service being in October 2025. Although this will be serviced again once it arrives. 4 new tyres were fitted in June ‘24.

We have a brand new wheel and tyre assembly that was returned due to a customer ordering the wrong size. The customer tried to fit it, therefore there is slight marking to the inside of the rim. It’s a Kenda 155/70r12c on a 5x6.5” rim, Normally fitted to Ifor Williams DP trailers amongst others.
