One of the great successes of our early summer garden this year has been a truly spectacular display of irises. One of the great successes of our early summer garden this year has been a truly spectacular display of irises. Here at Pye Corner, the garden is predominantly west-facing and enjoys sunshine for much of the day, ideal conditions for irises, which love nothing more than basking in as much warmth as possible. So while the lack of rain over recent months has posed its challenges, the irises have truly come into their own, rewarding us with a magnificent show of colour across both bearded Flag irises and the delicate Iris reticulata.

One of the great successes of our early summer garden this year has been a truly spectacular display of irises. Here at Pye Corner, the garden is predominantly west-facing and enjoys sunshine for much of the day, ideal conditions for irises, which love nothing more than basking in as much warmth as possible.
