The ceiling was supported by the stair stringer which was supported by 1 floor board! 😳 restructuring a good portion of the house wasn’t an option for the customer so I added some structural framework to support it all on the floor joists and added some cabs to fit in Ikea crates.

Under stairs doors to tidy up the space. I usually do my shaker doors rail & stile but glue times in this heat make that impossible so they’re clad panel this time. Today has me thinking…Is shaker preference a personality type? Feeling grateful that I always have the loveliest customers. It makes my job so worth the effort. 😊

When the job runs over time but it’s Friday! 😅 The brief for this unit was: Big storage unit + desk space with minimal detail. So here we have blank doors with a micro-bevel, 170 degree concealed hinges and the strongest push catches available. MR MDF & redwood lipping. The song feels like an awful dad joke but my Caroline Polachek obsession cant be helped. 🚑
